Jesus Comes Alive

Yesterday, during small group, while we were reading the Bible, it felt as if Jesus was just coming alive. It seemed like every word I read was Jesus speaking to me right at that moment, and I felt him nearer to me than I ever had - this time, though, without being emotional. His every command, his every comfort, his every promise...seemed so real I felt if I just kneeled down at that moment and prayed in faith, He would make things happen.

He doesn't need us, but he wants to use us, because he wants us to learn, to fellowship, and he wants us to know Him. He is Perfect, he loves when it is impossible for us to love, he chases after us when other people have abandoned us, his patience never runs out and he is wise beyond what we can imagine. He told us that soon, people won't be able to see Him, but those who believe will see.

I want to take my Bible, open it up, and just tell people, "Look! It's Him! This is what He has promised us, and He's real!" It took me so long to realize this. It seems easy, but I know it's extremely difficult for people to believe. I know because I went through this, even as a Christian. I know that in the future I might go through this again, but I pray I hold on to the faith I have now...with all of me and everything I have.

My sister said that she was reading through her journal, and her CD was skipping while she worshipping. It skipped once, twice, three times and she turned it off. A few pages after that journal entry, there came a journal entry that she had written down a verse about striking the ground three times, and to keep striking the ground. God answered her like they were having an A and B conversation!
